last night, maggie, katie, kayla, and i were debating the potential theories on time travel and their impact on the finale of lost and the characters involved. well, today i was taking a lost trivia quiz, and i came upon an interesting question regarding faraday's thoughts on time travel. in short, apparently faraday's belief was that consciousness travels but the body does not. i'm not really sure what this means for our discussion last night, but i'm interested to hear what ya'll think!
i was saying if jack successfully detonates the bomb, destroys the energy pocket, and keeps flight 815 from ever crashing, that their plane would have to safely land in LA without anyone remembering anything from the entire island experience (i.e. the split universe theory). now, if faraday is right and the body never actually travels, where are everyone's bodies being held while their consciousness bounces around? what does this mean for people that die in the "wrong" time (i.e. faraday himself)? thoughts?
on a more disturbing note, i took a "jack" themed quiz and actually knew his seat assignment on flight 815. it was multiple choice but still, 23 B, who knows that??
